PM Prayut holds private family prayers instead of public New Year appearance

Featured Replies

Interesting all those negative comments. I think some here may be a wee bit inconsistent or just forget to look at all aspects of PM Prayut's decision to hold a private family gathering.

Lots of people have been complaining that PM Prayut is on television too much. Well, his personal New Year gift was not to appear on television for a one hour speech. Now that should have made at least a lot of posters here happy.

Perhaps if you applied a bit of critical thinking instead of sucking up every last drop of propaganda from the man you might realise why, "all those negative comments".

I'm not sure if he was on TV or not ( I wouldn't give him the time of day) but in between all that familial piety he managed to fit in a New Years Message for everyone with all the usual crass hypocrisy included, so he's hardly restrained himself.

Oh, but I do know why. I only need to look at the member names. It's the usual bunch who talk about propaganda from the government being bad. The current government that is.

Some of us live in the real world, and speak the language as well. 99.3% published as a poll result, and you're not worried one bit? Even Gandhi wouldn't get close, neither would Martin Luther King if you had arranged a poll among black people back then.

I would encourage some critical thinking, it is said to be healthy. What do I know, though, I'm not an educated person.

Oh but I do live in the real world amongst people some would call 'middle to low class', Thai as well.

I know they didn't care whether the PM was on television or not. They celebrated in private with their families, just like I did.

All the best for 2016,
