Hi

I have spent months deciding which dog to buy. I have decided on a dog that I have wanted for years - a Bull Mastiff. I have never seen onne in LOS, or indeed seen any relative posts on this dog in any forum. To this end, would anyone know if it is possible to buy a Bull Mastiff in Thailand?

There are breeders of Bullmastiffs here,I have a friend in Samui that has 2.I will get the name/contact numbers of the kennels and let you know.

I saw one, the first I'd ever seen, in the main post office in Hua Hin, earlier this year. I think the owner said it weighed 110 kilos. Ugly, too!

The other place you can try is the kennel club of Thailand.They have lists of pedigree breeders within Thailand.....02 990 3428-9.

Skyline - thanks for that. I did find a breeder of American Pits in Samui, behind the 7/11 in Leam dim Market. I got my last pit from him. Never heard of a breeder of Bull mastiffs in Samui, and never seen one either... will phone the number though (the link is down.) Thanks for that.

Peace Blondie - it may have been a Brazilian Mastiff... there are a few breeders in LOS and whilst I think they are lovely dogs, some people may think they are slightly 'unatractive'. Not me though.

Wow - very detailed info thatnks for that.

What i failed to mention is that my absoloute number one chice is a Staffordhire Bull Terrier - one of the most fun, loyal, trusting dogs you can get, great with kids and very friendly (despite the bullXXX you read in media). I brought a Thai dog magazine and was suprised to find a Staffie breeder in LOS. I didnt mention this in my original post as i thought it was imposible to buy a Staffie in LOS.
