Grammy winner Natalie Cole dies at 65 in Los Angeles

Grammy award winning singer Natalie Cole has died at the age of 65 in Los Angeles.

Natalie Cole recorded the duet ‘Unforgettable’ with her father Nat ‘King’ Cole.

The singer had recently cancelled a number of performances due to ill health.

She rose to fame in 1975 with the album ‘Inseparable.’

The song ‘This Will Be’ was a big chart hit and led to her being honored with a Grammy for the best female R&B performance, she also picked up another Grammy as best new artist.

A string of hits followed, but in the 1980’s she suffered from drug related issues resulting in hepatitis and an eventual kidney transplant in 2009.

A lovely voice. May she RIP.

The prolonged use of drugs has ruined her health... while she was an exceptional singer, I don't care much for the faith of drugs users...

She was a great talent as was her father. Her father died at age 45 in 1965 of lung cancer. Not everyone remembers him as the jazz piano great he was but rather as a singer. Big losses to all of us for the both of them.

RIP, both of you.

I'm really sad. We're losing far too many wonderful people at far too young an age.
