Guatemala prison riot leaves 8 dead

GUATEMALA CITY (AP) — Guatemalan officials say a prison riot in the eastern state of Izabal has left eight inmates dead.

Prosecutor's spokeswoman Yesenia Enriquez says two of the victims were decapitated and two other burned.

Enriquez did not give a reason for Thursday's riot.

She said none of the prisoners have been identified.
