We never seem to hear about farangs getting killed in bike accidents these days, I know of 3 in the last few months, not one made the news.

Any reason for that Pattayaonenews?

Good question bartender100, I had been checking the news regarding two (British) guys who had been killed in relation to motorbikes in Pattaya in the last couple of months. Couldn't find any reporting on either case.

I wonder if it has anything to do with promoting how safe the place is??

They'd tell us if we didn't have to die after.

A witness to the crash, Khun Gitisak aged 31, told Police that he was with his girlfriend and the pair were on their bike driving to purchase food, when they saw the bike of Khun Songot head towards them at high-speed. Khun Gitisak described how he took evasive action to avoid a head-on collision, however the bike behind him, driven by the deceased victim, was not so lucky.

A very good and damming eye witness account...

After causing nearly on accident the offender continued to drive in a reckless manor causing the death of another... That's murder.

Let me guess, it happened early hours in the morning ? High speed ? No helmet ?

First off im not referring to this crash, just in general.

Should we care about one more death on the roads of a Thai driver or rider .

we all know how there behave on the roads.

they may well not be responsible for there demise today, but what did they do

1 hour, 1 day, 1 week before, I think we all know.

The dangerous , selfish, idiotic drivers of Thailand. i have no sympathy for you all.

After over 150,000k most round this town in 20 years driving cars and riding bikes, i care not any more.

They get there just rewards at the hands of the Grim Reaper.

i do feel sorry for passengers and pedestrians and all children,

The government, police , schools and parents have there heads right up there. shame on you all. wai2.gif

If you read the story, it seems the rider who was at fault survived... sad.png

I do not know if the rider that was killed was wearing a helmet but I suspect it would have made no difference.

OK...so the one driver, Khun Songot, who was speeding, is still alive and to blame for the accident and be held responsible.

That is, if anyone actually tries to make him responsible while the police just see it as another accident to be reported and move on.

Even if someone did try to make Mr. Songot responsible what would be the out come assuming the man does not have any money anyhow.

Tragic and senseless loss of life while the family of the deceased is suffering the ramifications of someone's recklessness.

Cheers

They really don't care what they do...

Parents don't teach them nothing

The Govt doesn't give a damn

Teachers don't teach common sense (they cant because they where never taught it)

Schools allow kids to ride to school, unlicensed and no helmet

I may be generalizing, but that's how I see it... !

And this is one of the results from basic stupidity

One can't blame stupidity. After all, the trend line of IQ levels in this country is falling...

You're overthinking it. It was probably nothing more than a blind drunk rider without a care in this world - which is probably why he survived as he was relaxed, whereas the deceased was tense and terrified and took evasive action.
