To piggy back F-CON ECU or not?

Featured Replies

Hi All, thank you in anticipation, On taking my Mazda RX8 to have an electrical repair, the garage owner removed my piggy backed F-CON ECU, Sard Injectors and other parts, and replaced with a standard ECU for The Nissan SR20 DET engine, without my permission.

The car runs ok, but have found a knowledgeable mechanic who can either piggy Back or run The F_CON as a stand alone option and reinstall The Sard Injectors and any other parts needed.

The new mechanic checked out the F-CON and started a car in his work shop with it attached, in my presence.

As I have most of the parts already, should I leave as is, install as a piggy back or stand alone option.

Must admit not had a lot of luck with this car, but I have a lot of skin in it already, but do like this machine.

Thank you Tom

Do you want the car back to factory standard or modified?

What is the F-con going to piggy back? Doesn't make sense for it to be on the Sr20 ecu.

Hi, Kartman, thank you for the information.

Regards Tom
