Justice Minister says 'manipulation' behind Rajabhakti Park graft claims

Ah yes. The shadowy third figure who has been responsible for Thailands woes since time immemorial and who is never named. Bacause he/she doesn't exist, perhaps?

Charlem also always talked about that shadowy third party and now the junta. They must all love to shift the blame.

Yep - they're all at it. When caught simply deny it and if necessary blame someone else.

Chalerm even liked to add initials on occasion to make the game more interesting.

If the worst comes to the worst blame a ghost or two a la Thai Air.

Well Udomdej himself did say that kickbacks were demanded, then returned, then given back to the army as 'donations'.

The demanding of kickbacks by a still unnamed amulet trader sounds very much like corruption to me at least. Nobody is buying these BS denials. This'll blow over as soon as another scandal comes along. I give it weeks

I have read the BK post for the last 15 years and every issue has an article about corruption with government contracts or othe things, and the trnsfering of police to other posts.

It is embedded into this country and most other asian countries, however saying that where would you find any country these days that isn't corrupt.

This is only minor compared to what the good old USA is doing in the arms bussiness.

The words blatant and finesse come to mind.

We always waiting evidence from Red shirt, they show nothing to public.......

Maybe because they were arrested, before they could even get to the park. Taken away to army camps at gunpoint......................

No one or nothing were allowed to get in the way of the whitewash !!

Isra News have an article on their website from 19th Nov (Thai language) with name and photo of the amulet trader confirming both he and his family had disappeared so it is not so much of a secret.

Disappeared, mmm....how much concrete went into the base of one of those statues?

Just like we are waiting on this governments 'proof' of who is 'behind' the Din Dao and other student groups.

Ho Hum.

'proof' of who is 'behind' the Din Dao

re: dao din, ... accordiing to dao din, that would be the local people they try to help. thumbsup.gif

Mostly, what we do is go to rural communities. Villagers of these communities support us. We go and stay with them as if we were their children. When they organize events or activities we would go to help, and in return, they are the ones who come to help us.

To be fair that was a report from November last year and, since his name is being supressed, there is no mention anywhere of his whereabouts since then so he could be living happily abroad away from the glare of publicity.

It is clear that, since his name is an open secret amongst media here, that the NCPO have banned it being mentioned which suggest they have something to hide - could be he has been 'dealt with' as said by Udomdej and they don't want to reveal what they mean by that or it could be he has serious dirt on others that they don't want disclosing - amulet traders such as this deal with many influential people in large amounts of cash.

Another reason might be to stop the whole park scandal from spreading since this amulet trader is also responsible for many of the large monk statues around the country including the Luang Phor Tuad one also near Hua Hin.

Yep - always one Shin supporter who comes out with the "but, but," remark. Presumably hoping it deflects?

Chalerm was a regular commentator in the media, blaming the "mysterious third hand", occasionally promising to reveal them (which he never did) or giving out their alleged initials. He denied the existence of the men in black, and tried to prevent people talking about them.

Of course his detection skills were legendary. He solved the murder of one abductee and announced the guilty even before the body was found!

One of Mr. T's long term "enforcers" who, like the former up and coming Tharit, might be about to meet karma.

''A source said the Rajabhakti Park Foundation chaired by Udomdej is in the process of being renamed the "Rajabhakti Park Foundation under the Royal Patronage of the Crown Prince" in response to a request submitted by Udomdej last year.''

Well that's a convenient way to shut everyone up isn't it ;)

Actually people posting the but T or but C are the ones hoping to deflect. The subject is graft in the military. This saga shows the main justification for the coup is false. People that use their brain knew this from the very beginning. People such as you might see the light some day, but I doubt it, after all, by openly supporting this bunch of human rights abusers and law breakers, there is no way back.
