The Chong Chom crossing to Cambodia in Surin province would be the nearest one.

There is parking at the crossing.

Chong Chom crossing .70km south of Surin on the 214 highway. There is parking on your left just before immigration cost 50 baht. Or you can catch a van from the Surin bus station for 60 baht. About a 90 minute ride. Cambodia vis will set you back about 1500 baht at this crossing. There is a casino inside Cambodia and on the Thai side there is a large market,

Thanks Ubonjoe and Khwaibad. I have never done a visa run nor has my friend.

I see on the internet that payment should be in $US ... this is correct?

So how is it done ... parks car. Shows passport...stamped out? Walks across and stamped in after paying visa fee. Turns around and reverse of previous. His 'O'" visa is multi entry. All done.

Will there be any agents/or trying to 'help'!! Anything else to avoid .................. thanks

Yes the Cambodian visa is suppose to be 30 USD BUT be prepared to pay 1500 baht for the visa and another 300 baht for doing a U-Turn. Total of 1800 baht. There are so called agents there but you do not need them.
