Jobs being provided to students during school break

The Department of Employment is preparing to provide 165,422 vacant jobs to students and graduates during the summer break. Most of them are general staff, service personnel, delivery service employees as well as waiters and waitresses.

Mr. Juthathawat Ittornsuksri (จุฑาธวัช อิททรสุขศรี), the head of the department, said his agency is coordinating with the Education Ministry, employers, and business operators to provide jobs for the students and graduates during this period. Thus, they would gain some work experiences. At the moment, 350 students have just signed up to work for the business operators nationwide.

Currently, there are five positions, which are sales personnel, general administrative personnel, customer service personnel, delivery personnel and attendants.

Working students will be compensated with 200 baht per day, or around 25 baht per hour.

Interested students who would like to work during the school break can call E-Job Center for further details at 1694 or 0-2246-9292.
