Burkina Faso hotel seizure ends; 4 jihadis, 23 others dead

OUAGADOUGOU, Burkina Faso (AP) — The overnight seizure of a luxury hotel in Burkina Faso's capital by al-Qaida-linked extremists ended Saturday when Burkina Faso and French security forces killed four jihadist attackers and freed more than 126 people, the West African nation's president said.

Man threatens to jump from True Transmitter Tower in South Pattaya

PATTAYA: The Pattaya Police Chief, Police Colonel Sukthat, responded to a possible attempted suicide call on Saturday afternoon in South Pattaya, and was told a man had climbed a Transmitter Tower and was threatening to jump-off.

Marine helicopters crash off Oahu, search under way

Pattaya takes on a very different guise before the morning sun has arisen


The streets are clear of traffic and the scatterings of individuals that can be seen are somewhat of a Pattaya cliché. As I drove through the streets it was a truly indulging experience, but you needed to be aware and look hard to see the detail.
