I was planning to put some pla nin before but after doing some research i found out koi ponds & i must admit that the idea really got the wheels in my brain running..i dont know how am i going to get this thing done but im one of those people who like to go for it..now id like to get a decent pond going with all the filters & pumps etc..any idea how much a decent size pond would cost in Isaan..where to buy the supplies from? I need to get the most cost effective program..im young & eager to DIY..all i need is a bit of guidance on the right track..

Here is a website to get you started, hopefully your wife is a Thai speaker and will be able to translate it for you, (limited success with Google translate) it also has some external links for other suppliers. The site does have many different Koi pond designs and filter and water recommendations

Don't know about the Koi situation in Issan but since they are so popular here in Thailand I am sure that you will be able to find someone in your area that raises Koi either as a hobby or as a business

I've been looking into this project from quite a while now..I've got a decent idea of what to do but I'm not quite sure about the costs...In Isaan farmers do have ponds but they are usually dug up holes with rain water & they keep catfish & other bottom dwellers in it..for me I'm more interested in having a proper facility being very cost effective..
