Ranong visa 2 nd entry

Featured Replies

Hi We are going to Ranong for exit /entry we have a 2 visa entry we got in the States.....going on the 30th what and where do we go,going by car.How much for the boat and how much in Myramar...thank you in advance.Nick

Head down to the Saphan Pla, you'll know you're there by the smell. All the taxi drivers will know where to take you. You'll have to get your exit stamp from Thailand first.

There will be many touts trying to get you to charter a boat for 3-400 return. Or you can jump on a waiting boat and go across for 50 baht. You may have to wait until the boat fills up and it can be quite hot.

The cost for Burma is ten dollars.

Nothing much to do on the Burmese side. There's a market and that's about it. I always used to go to Mark Bar on the front to the right of where you get off at the pier for some ice cold Myanmar draught beer. It used to be 15-20 Baht a glass years ago. Probably more now.

Get some kid to buy you a carton of cheap cigarettes, a bottle of liquor, and then get the boat back.

It's an interesting little trip. Have fun.
