Hi.

I am English and traveling in India. I am in Delhi and need to get Thai tourist visa. Either a 60 day single entry or multiple entry tourist visa. I know the embassy is at Conaught place in Delhi. Is it easy to get a visa here. And how long will it take. As I want to spend as little time in Delhi as possible. If you have been to Delhi you will know why. Any help is welcome. Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for reply. I am sorry what is METV?

My big question is how long will visa take. Is there a same day or next day service. As I would like to leave Delhi as quick as I can.

Thank you.

METV = Multiple Entry Tourist Visa. Not going to happen outside the UK :(

It's been a while since I used VFS in Delhi but there was no same-day service then, I doubt anything has changed.

If your plans include Bangalore apply for your visa there, again it's VFS but not busy. The consulate is actually in Chennai so there's an option there too. Still no same-day service.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

It takes 3 days in Delhi. There other places in India where you can apply for the visa.

METV is a multiple entry tourist visa. It allows unlimited 60 day entries for 6 months.

Hello,

Thank you for quick reply. So three days in Delhi. I hope my belly can take it.

The only way I can get multiple entry is from the UK?

If I go in to Thailand on 60 days and do a visa run to Cambodia or Laos. Can I get another 60 day or am I stuck with 30 days once I leave?

Also am I restriced to having to fly in to Thailand from any visa run due to 15 day land crossing rule (does this still aply?)

I want to rent an apartment so trying to work out visa requirements

Thank you again

Another 60 day single entry tourist visa can be obtained in one of the nearby countries.

There are no "visa requirements" associated with renting an apartment.

Yes the UK for the multiple entry tourist visa (2 and 3 entry visas are no longer available).

You can get a single entry tourist visa at nearby embassies and consulates.

Since you are from the UK you would get a 30 day entry (G7 country rule).
