My 2nd entry is expected to hit the 60 days on Feb 4th 2016. Can I go to the immigration this Friday Jan 29th to apply for an extension ? Is it not too early ?

Thanks,

David

  • The 29th is ok. They will usually allow the application within the last 7 days and some offices 14 days.

The extension will start from the 30th regardless of which day you apply.

Make sure you use the 3rd entry before the use by date of the actual visa, which may be before the 30 day extension ends

Thanks Steve. Already have that in mind.

Visa ends on the 29th of February. Extension will be until the 4th of March. We will enter our last entrance on February 28-29 to enjoy our last entry as much as possible.

We can extend the last entry as well right ?

Yes, as long as you re-enter before the visa expires, you can get 60 + 30 days out of that entry.

Just remember, once the visa expires or has been fully used, if you travel out of Thailand and then return you will lose whatever remains of those 60 + 30 days. You would need a re-entry permit to preserve whatever may be left on your permission/extension if you leave the country.

Yep, so I got things calculated correctly.

If after the last entry I need to leave the country for some reason in the middle of these 90 days I will of course use a re-entry.

Thanks guys!
