Extension of Non Imm based on Retirement - photos

Featured Replies

I have seen a couple of different requirement for the size a for the photos for a extension visa based on retirement, can someone confirm this is correct? 4x6 cm photograph with medium blue background.

with best regards

Colin

A 4 X 6 cm photo is the correct size. Background color should not matter. The only report of them wanting the background to be blue I have seen is at Chiang Mai immigration.

Cheers buddy clap2.gif

whistling.gif Where are you applying?

If in Bangkok area at CW immigration, they do the photos on the ground floor, the same shop that does the photocopies.

They will do a packet of 4 photos for 100 Baht.

Takes less than 1 minute.

Chachoengsao, I was there the other day, it's much smaller and a friendly office, than BKK. We have someone in our home town that can help if needed.

Many thanks

Can you confirm after you have renewed what they require in the way of paperwork only I have to renew my extension next month

It's my first time to do this process, so I don't submit to April, but I might call in the office in the next few weeks to check everything is ok, if I do I'll let you know.

In Phuket for my renewal in June-2015 they did the photo on computer using a video cam.

Prior to renewing my retirement extension a few years ago, I did inadvertently obtain photos which were too small. Fortunately they were subsequently still accepted by my local immigration office (Rayong) without question.

However, not wishing to chance my luck again, I subsequently invested in a 6" ruler which I now use to measure the display photos at my local photographer's and point at the one which is nearest to 4cm x 6cm!
