BANGKOK, 27 January 2016 (NNT) – The Metropolitan Police Bureau (MPB) has initiated a free auto repair service, as part of their efforts to tackle youth gangs and student violence.

Acting MPB Chief Pol Lt Gen Sanit Mahathaworn, together with representatives of the Vocational Education Commission and the Ministry of Education, opened the auto repair service at Metropolitan Police Division 7.

The program is meant give vocational students a constructive outlet to apply their knowledge and skills for the good of the people. In addition to free car maintenance and oil changes, the student service also offers repair for insect screens.

Pol Lt Gen Sanit said the issue of student violence, though it involves only a minority of students, damages the overall reputation of Thai schools.

What exactly is happening here? Is this the police forcing violent students to provide free services to the public? Are the students ordered by a court to do it? How many hours must each offender typically provide the service? If voluntary, are non violent, as well as violent, students eligible?

The "engineers" at my Honda-dealer can't even pump a tire properly according to the specs Honda gave them. They don't even have a pressuremeter!

So i guess these boys will get busy.

You should try teaching them how to use a torque wrench.

I have. crazy.gif
