DPM bids Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce foster greater Thai-Chinese investment

Bangkok, 28 January 2016 (NNT) – The Deputy Prime Minister for Economics has voiced hopefulness that the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce will aid in forging greater trade and investment relations between Thailand and China, especially for the Thailand-China Railway Project.

Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak, recently chaired a ceremony to appoint the 24th-25th generation members of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, naming Jitti Tangsitthipakdi as the chamber’s 25th president.

The deputy premier stated his confidence that China will be able to remedy its slowing economy and recover to serve as a pillar of Asia and the world’s economies.

On trade and investment relations between the two nations, Somkid bid the chamber foster closer government to government ties and continually push Thailand-China policies such as the “New Silk Road” project as well as the Thailand-China Railway Project, which he hopes will reach a final agreement by this coming March.

Much sooner. China has their check book out ready to hand out bahts but not without strings. They are a cunning bunch. They and the rest are lurching into a united Asian bloc one size fits all and a Euro like currency called the Yuan.
