Changwattana immigration retirement extension trip report

Went to CW immigration on 28 Jan 2016, arrived@7:15 already approx. 20 que spots reserved with docs on the floor. Office opened right on time and I received a very low que number. When called to immigration officer desk I presented my previously prepared extension packet which did not include tm30 or proof of address other than the address on US embassy affidavit. I used a 4 by 6cm photo with white background and blue ink was used in filling out tm7. I had no problems what so ever and received my extension by 9:30. I then went down to photo shop for copy of new extension and returned to get my multiple reentry permit, again no problems. after something to eat there I was out of the building by 10:30. Very efficient and quick.

Any change in the normal sign off procedure? In May and after there seems to have been another document check after presentation to the normal OIC for signing so a short wait in general waiting area. Also there were 3 documents to fill/sign at first desk (used to be two).

Thanks for the report.

13 January application process required my signature on two documents and the wife's on one document. The OIC filled them in and we signed (same as last year.) This time we were asked to sit outside the office until called by the supervisor for final check. She asked a lot of questions in Thai but no problems developed. Got there at 10AM and out 2 PM (had a nice lunch there.)

Two weeks ago I went to Chiang Khan for my 90 day report, filled in the appropriate form, copy of every page of my Passport. I was refused because I had been to Laos, the slip in my Passport signed by my wife (I had my yellow book with me) was no longer valid, I had to travel 50 k, back to Loei and back again for my wife to fill out the form again!!
