January 29, 201610 yr Hello there, I will be applying for the new METV visa for the first time after they changed it and I noticed that its required to show proof of residence of the country where I'm applying (ie my home country). The thing is I am not a resident in my home country. Will I be able to get the visa just with passport or I will have to show some utility bill or other kind of proof? Thanks a lot.
January 29, 201610 yr I think they want proof that you are legally entitled to residence in the country you're applying in. Your passport does that if it's your home country.
January 29, 201610 yr I'm from EU country. from which country and where will you apply for a METV. Example: if you are European but not German and live in Germany you would have to show your Anmeldebestatigung.
