KHON KAEN:-- Villagers from the district of Ban Phai in Khon Kaen have called for a monk to be expelled from a temple amid accusations he had sex with a local woman.

On Friday, locals protested at a temple in Ban Lan to demand that the temple’s most senior abbot take action.

The monk, (name withheld) has denied all the allegations against him, which first surfaced when rumours started to spread that he was having an affair with a woman who lived locally.

Then in December last year, a witness reported seeing a woman visit the monk at around 9pm in the evening.

Upon hearing this, local villagers went to the room of the monk to demand he open the door to his room, however, the monk refused.

The locals then forced open the door to find the monk alone. A brief search of the room revealed the woman hiding under the bed.

Following the incident, the monk was ordered to leave the temple by his superior, however, he refused and continues to deny he has behaved inappropriately, reports Thairath

The monk at the centre of the scandal told senior monks who are investigating the incident that he did not have sex with the woman and that she often visits him to bring him fruit.

The local Puyai Baan told the same investigation that the woman lives close to the temple and alleges that she is often seen visiting the monk before returning home with money and other goods.

Senior monks are continuing to investigate the allegations.

a woman brought fruits to a monk and tried to hide under the bed so nobody will see her. ahaha

what a blatant disgusting lie!

this monk should be expelled and banned from monkshood for life

and the funniest detail is that after being caught he impudently refuses to leave the monastery even after his abbot asked him to leave!

seems like he got used to live on expense of laity and does not want to stop lol.

if I were a Khonkaen resident I would spit in his face ( after he take off his monk robe, of course!)

When religious authorities of (nearly) all persuasions stop alledging that developing one's spirituality can only be achieved by suppressing one's sexuality, religions will have made a great step towards civilization.

Which, of course, is never going to happen because this control-freak attitude to sex has nothing to do with spirituality and everything to do with power, domination, and manipulation. All in the name of the Holy One, of course.

fighting with an animal urges in human, opposition conscious against instincts - this is what religion is all about.

but for sure consumerists and hedonists would like to have a religion which would indulge all their savage behavior... and such ""religions" are already exist in US for example - for a great pleasure of their customers.

Great, so it's official, we have a Christian Ayatollah on this Forum.

This 'animal urge' you are talking about as if it was something utterly disgusting and reprehensible also happens to be the source of life. But not every time, ha ! of course it's also a source of pleasure, so I guess that makes it diabolical.

Only 'hedonists and consumerists' would dare to suggest that, well, there's nothing wrong with pleasure, and if it exists, perhaps it's obviously a part of God's Great Scheme. But no, you and all the other Ayatollahs know His scheme better than anyone else, dontcha ? After all, you guys have brunch with Him every Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, right ?

Sex is a natural human activity, no religion should ban sex between two consenting adults, provided of course that it's male and female.

Buddhism does not ban sex. it gives a full choice what to do and face the consequences.

but some people volunteerly decide to joint to a monastic order - the Sangha - and obey it's rules. to reach the divine. because of this alleged divinity laity feed monks.

but some people want to be fed by laity and enjoy an animal side of his personality. they secretly give up there divinity but keep parasiting on conned laity. this is a problem.

and for sure for TVF sexpats it's very hard to imagine that somebody can volunteerly give up drinking and sex!

believe it or not, in Thailand there are still some people for whom conciseness is more important and enjoyable than physical pleasure...

lol

pleasure from opium also exists, and opium is a perfectly natural substance. So what's wrong with it? lol

first of all, i am Buddhist, I don't believe in God. and in God's plan

sexual urge is neither good nor bad. it's the reality.

but only the one whose consciousness is controlling and realizing his animal side (and not vise versa) can be called a human.

and this is the main goal of Buddhism - make people out of animals. show the way for a conscious and spiritual growth and liberation

but for sure 99.(9)% of farangs come to Thailand not for that. lol

Hypocrisy : a virus that develops in religious circles as happily as dengue fever does in the marshes.

They are just men in orange robes! Thailands brand of Buddism.

Celibacy, as in the Catholic church is a stupid thing and should be done away with as a bad idea getting worse. These guys are human after all and a sex drive is as normal as the desire for food.
