i thought they were starting to count the 90 days from 1 october kicking out of thailand every one by the 1 january 07 but it s not the case

Sounds like you had a nightmare. It can only be a dream as they cannot be stamping in red all passports that have had 90 day runs since October the first BECAUSE NO ONE HAS EVEN DONE A RUN SINCE ENTERING THE FIRST TIME AFTER OCTOBER 1ST!

At this stage it's still looking like a tourist visa will be obtainable for anyone who has reached the 90 day limit by 1 January 07.

One guy just got a tourist visa from PP with a passport full of stamps (10 months).

Can you imagine the crowds at the consulates in PP, Laos and Malaysia in the first week of January.
