BANGKOK, 1 February 2016 (NNT)-The Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA) has organized a youth camp to promote water and environment conservation among young Thais.

MWA Governor Thanasak Wattanathana said the camp, which is held Ratchaburi province, is a collaborative effort between MWA and communities located along the Mae Klong River.

Students from four local schools have joined the camp. They have learnt how to carry out simple home waste-water treatment techniques, measure the oxygen level in the water and calculate the amount of daily water consumption.

The students have shown great interest in these activities and said they wanted MWA to organize a similar event soon.

I wonder if Song Kran will be affected?

Will there be a ban on throwing water around?

I think they also need to promote water conservation to the schools which I see wasting 100's of gallons a day watering their already dead grass.
