ldiablo Posted February 1, 2016 Share Posted February 1, 2016 (edited) I can confirm after speaking with two immigration officers at Pathumthani immigration today that when the new overstay rules come into effect next month that if you overstay less than 90 days and you turn yourself in the penalty is 500 baht per day to a maximum of 20000 baht same as before but only applied when leaving by air or land and does not affect you returning to Thailand. If turning yourself in within say PathumThani immigration for instance you will still be sent to IDC and processed for deportation.
