Van from Bangkok to Pattaya engulfed in flames

I read about this terrible accident involving a minivan driving from Bangkok to Pattaya last night but nothing reported in the english news yet ?

Cynical, but seems like:

No foreigner involved(?), no one dead (yet) "only" one heavily injured.

Mad driver speeding/overtaking like crazy.

So beside the fact it was on the way to Pattaya: "business as usual".

About 20'000 death on the road per year, more than 50 per day!

Nothing wrong with LPG or any Other Gas runners,,,Its the Installing and Maintenance that's Imported,,, The people Themselves turning the vehicles into Bombs Because of Shoddy Installation and No Maintenance,,,,,Anyway you have a point No one Cares,,,,Take Care,happy Days ((:

Had the driver not been speeding and overtaking on the left before he hit the truck, then chances are his vehicle would not have gone up in flames, or sustained any other damage for that matter! It's not the LPG's fault!

One less minibus on the roads , this is good. Just had an idea , as all minbus drivers think they are the best , the dogs bo !! ocks , how good would it be to have a race track where say 20 of these VIP drivers could race each other , loosing face would make them really go for it, minibuses rolling over everywhere., I would pay 1000B to watch such a race, C'mon someone where can they do this ?

Pick a curve anywhere after Doi Saket to Khun Chae National Park, with double lines and signs saying no passing. Take a deckchair. You won't have to wait too long for a van driver to attempt the insane.

You can donate the 1000 baht to the Orphan's Fund.

Ah , but I don't want any passengers involved . So watch them going round and round , when one driver gets really pi$$ed off he can stick up his middle finger then out comes a gun as loss of face. Shooting each other , buses rolling over .......... Coming to a race frack near you soon .

A couple of years ago an LPG lorry crashed into a gold shop not far from here. Some shady characters passing at the time decided to take advantage of the situation but unfortunately one of the LPG tanks exploded. It killed the shopkeeper, his assistant and two of the looters. Other looters and rubberneckers out on the pavement were injured.
