connda
Are you really asking the forum for permission to drink? I'm not fooled. Here: "I'm not drinking today thank you, but enjoy yourself. Sure i'd love to sit and talk. Waitress, can I have a glass of soda water with slice of lime?"Can't do that. Get professional help. Really. ericthai
Thai men like to drink but the women (apart from Pattaya/Isan types and some of the younger generation of BKK girls) don't drink much and it's actually still considered socially less desirable for women to drink in some circles.Wow, some of you guys!girls in Pattaya and Isaan drink... you need to get out more. I live in Isaan and can tell you many of the ladies in our village dont drink and actually there are only a few guys that are heavy drinkers. My wife's uncle lives across the street from us and he dont drink not even at parties. My wife's sister owns a small shop in Pattaya and she never drinks. So it goes to prove that some people, girls and boys included, like a drink and some don't. The same all over the world. Not sure the OP trusts himself to go to the toilet without asking for help....jesus...do you want a beer ? No thank you, cokes good.... and move on i think you probably don't know thai people that much .... but never mind. you're funny. you post about refusing to drink to answers and then you tell me that I dont Thai people. I think after 20 years living and working in Thailand I do. Read what I said I didnt say Thai dont drink I was commenting to the guy that made the remark that women in Pattaya and Isan like to drink, which is not always true. Most of the girls in my factory drink coke when I buy whisky for the guys but there are a few that do drink. Same as in the village I live in some of the girls drink but most of them dont. However most of them are older. Just as bangkokhatter said it's the same all over the world.
