First 90 Day Report after Re-Entry

My on-line 90 day report wouldn't work so I went to Cheng Wattana yesterday and did the 90 day report in person (it was very quiet and quickly completed).

I took the opportunity to ask the Immigration Office why it didn't work on-line and she summoned someone to explain to me .......

She said that the first 90 day report after re-entry to the Kingdom must be done in person and cannot be done on-line. Is this correct??

Last year I went to Cambodia and did the first 90 day report after re-entry on-line without problems. My friend went home to Sweden and did his first 90 day report after re-entry on-line without problems so I'm not sure this advice is correct unless something has changed recently.

Searching the web for some clues I found on pattayacityexpatsclub that they say the first report after re-entry is different but no mention that it won't work on-line.

Is there anybody with any knowledge of this rule?
