Visa from Thai passport office?

Featured Replies

Sounds bizzare but nothing here surprises me any more. Long time Chinese national here resident in Thailand said she went to the Thai passport office at Srinakrin for her one year visa! She was adamant it was there and not Samut Prakan immigration where she 'should' have gone. Said they wanted 10k this year but she knocked them down to 6k. I certainly would not mind paying that without the 800k in the bank. Actually there are a few Chinese nationals where we live, all are house owners and none appear to have any problems about visas!

As far as I know that is not possible. Perhaps they paid an agent in the same building.

Probably, seems lots are on unofficial arrangement like this, but the price is more usually 20k. Not for me i'd rather be legal.
