February 13, 201610 yr Hi guys, We're looking to do a same-day visa run where we exit out of Bangkok into Cambodia, get the exit stamp and enter back at the same day to activate our last entry from a triple entry visa. I understand we need to physically leave the Kingdom and come back which is fine but we'd be happy to do that in one day. Could anyone recommend of a company we can do this with ? How much would it cost and how long will it take ? Thanks,
February 13, 201610 yr I used this one a while back and was very happy: http://bestbangkokvisarun.com/ Paid 2,500 baht, which included a breakfast buffet in Cambodia. We started from Bangkok at 5 am and returned in the afternoon. Everything was very professional and the people who handled it were friendly and spoke English well.
February 14, 201610 yr If you've already used 60+30+60+30 days on the visa, hopefully you've checked to see that the visa hasn't expired.
February 14, 201610 yr Author It's ending on February 29th. So doing the run on the 28th will keep us good for an additional 60+30 right ?
February 14, 201610 yr It's ending on February 29th. So doing the run on the 28th will keep us good for an additional 60+30 right ? Yes You could do it on the 29th also but best to plan a day early in case of delays getting to the border.
February 14, 201610 yr Author From what date will the 60+30 day calculated ? From the date of entry of the visa run or the initial entry date (05/9/15) ? Thanks!
February 14, 201610 yr Author Perfect, thanks. Am I supposed to contact the Visa run company to book myself a seat ? Edited February 14, 201610 yr by dtdavid
February 14, 201610 yr Perfect, thanks. Am I supposed to contact the Visa run company to book myself a seat ? The one I posted a link for dose not require you to do a reservation. Just show up at the meeting place by 5 am.
February 14, 201610 yr Author We are two. What happens if they don't have enough space in the van for all of us ?
February 14, 201610 yr Here is one that does it for 2400 baht. http://www.thaivisaservice.com/ -------------------------- I have done this before using their service. Uses 16 passenger vans.....leaves about 6 a.m......about 12 hours total trip from Bangkok to the Cambodian Border and return....one hour stop at border. Two comfort stops on the way. Details of the trip on the website above. Long trip, but entirely possible.
February 15, 201610 yr We are two. What happens if they don't have enough space in the van for all of us ? For the one I linked to you can just send an email to the address listed on the site and tell them what kind of run you are doing and on what date you want to go (I believe they do runs three times a week). That's what I did, since you don't want to show up and not be able to go.
February 15, 201610 yr We are two. What happens if they don't have enough space in the van for all of us ? I think they normally will always have space or can add a van for the run, You could always contact them and do a reservation to be sure.
February 15, 201610 yr I have used Thaivisaservice a number of times. Very reliable & professional company. Last time there was a large number of people and more vans were summoned to accomodate everyone. Everything is taken care of at the border so apart from the journey itself the rest is as simple as can be. Gets you back to Bangkok by approx. 3.30pm.
February 15, 201610 yr Thaivisaservice is good, when you leave Thailand you don't even have to enter Cambodia, one of the runners collects the Passports and gets them stamped for you, you just stay in no mans land I used them 6 weeks ago, left at 5am and was back by 3 45pm
February 15, 201610 yr You could also fly to Ho Chi Min or Kuala Lumpur from Don Muang and do a fairly quick turn around. Fairly similar price and safer than the roads in my opinion. HCM flight is about one hour and you can get a 3 hour turn around with Air Asia.
