Your friend was foolish.

Let this be a warning that signing as guarantor for someone's debt is the same as borrowing the money yourself!

It also can make the debtor feel absolved of responsibility. It is human nature to worry about one's own situation more than feel responsible to 'friends'.

If the bank needs a guarantor, it probably means the guy is a bad risk anyhow.

i think the freind is lucky its a bank thats calling the tune.if it was those who visit on fast bikes with black clothing and black helmets and dark visors then you might find yourself looking down the end of a blink.pngw00t.gifshock1.gif

No sympathy. He's getting what he signed for, to backup/pay a debt owed by others who cannot/will not pay.

Time to go harvest his money tree.

When it goes over money with relatives or friends, it always ends with drama...

Never lend money to a friend, you will lose your money and your friend.
