Back to back SETV, what are the probabilities?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am coming to the end of a 4 year work contract in Thailand. I will be studying full time at a Thai university with a Non-Ed in August 2016. In the meantime I would like to stay on holiday in Thailand for the 5 months in between. I would like to get back to back SETVs from Laos. Is this possible? Should I be concerned about the SETV being denied? What can I do to reduce the chances of the SETV being denied on the first and second application?

Background:

UK citizen

Over 10 years in Thailand.

First 2 years border running. (with the odd one or two days over stay)

Then back home for 3 months.

Returned on Non-O.

Then Non B for 2 years working. (I was refused exit of Thailand at the border due to new regulations and the proper paperwork not being in place from the end of my contract even though it was the last day of this Non-B visa which resulted in a 2 day overstay)

Then 3 years Non Ed for study at Thai university.

Then work permit for 5 and half years.

I am sorry if all these questions have been asked already but I am becoming little anxious about my situation and would appreciate some expert advice.

Regards

Lumpi

They only count visas issued back to back done by them in Vientiane. You will have no problem getting 2 single entry tourist visa from there.
