Flight time and last day of visa....overstay?

Featured Replies

Scenario....last day of visa in Feb 25. Your flight will depart at 01:30 on Feb 26. Since you will clear customs prior to midnight, will you have an overstay?

No

technically you must leave thailand on the 25th. as your flight is on the 26th , you will have a 1 day overstay, immigration do not charge for a 1 day overstay at the airports, but you may get a stamp in your passport. so does it matter either way, if you are concerned get an extension.

Best to say the airports in Bangkok do not charge for one day of overstay. Others may not follow the rules.

I think as long as he clears immigration before midnight on the 25th he will not have an overstay as he has technically left Thailand. He will be stamped out as leaving on the 25th.
