Possibly

Lived here 4 years. Seen 2 snakes. One was dead.

Yes, they can be visible anywhere.... Living here 6 years seen quite a few.... UNFORTUNATEL.......

Had to call the guys two weeks ago to remove a largish python who had taken up residence in our house !

15 years ago I had a baby cobra in my bathroom on a resort on Samui,.

Just convinced it to enter an empty shoebox and released him over the wall.

Wife chased away a Russels viper from her restaurant today, beach road Chaweng, Samui.

Six months ago I captured an 1.5 m Python in my friends restaurant, took it by the tail and used an umbrella as snake stick, released it in a nearby swamp.

They are more afraid for you than you ever can be of them.

No problem with snakes, the red giant centipedes on the other hand.....

If you are scared of snakes then stay away from Australia, America , SE Asia, Africa, South America, in fact go and live on the Isle of Man there are no snakes there.

As said, you should worry more about the giant centipedes than snakes.

Snakes try and stay out of your way.

I am ok with going to a country with snakes...as long as I wont see them in the resort or in the city :)

How many tourists have died from snakebite on Phuket over the last few years? Google it.

How many tourists have died from diving, snorkeling, bar fights, riding in vans, violent crime, alcohol and drugs on Phuket? Google that.

Re-prioritize your worries if you visit Phuket.

A snake in the hotel room itself can happen but is very, very rare.

Snakes in the hotel garden, will probably also not be seen especially if there are a lot of people going to and fro and the grass is kept well cut.

Snakes are out there, of course, but odds are you won't see any.

If you really want to see a snake in the resort garden, look up into the tree branches. It will be green. Good luck.
