February 19, 201610 yr Will pick up my new passport Monday (US). The Embassy will give me a transfer request letter. I have already filled out the Immigration Transfer Request Form. In addition to the Embassy and the Thai Immigration Transfer Form, I have a couple of questions. I will copy page 1 of the New and Old Passport and all of the pages in my Old passport. What pages from the old passport does Immigration require? Just page 1 and the page showing my O-A Visa and the Page showing my Extension of Stay or all of the pages in my old passport. I will also be giving them a copy of my Departure Card also. Am here on a Retirement Visa. Thanks for any info I can get.
February 19, 201610 yr You appear to be confused about what you have in the passport Valid Visas are never transferred so if you have a valid "retirement visa" (an "O" or O/A visa) it will not be transferred Extensions of stay(which are not "visas" ) ,however , are transferred to a new passport. What copies are required will depend on which immigration office you use.
February 20, 201610 yr Best to go to immigration with a copy of every page of your old passport that has a extension stamp, entry/permit to stay stamp and visa for Thailand.
February 20, 201610 yr Sunny, do you have to use the immigration office where you live? If you have an extension of stay you have to do it at the office where you got the extension unless you have formally changed your address to another office.
