I use DuckDuckgo

https://duckduckgo.com/

Read more about them here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DuckDuckGo

For Browser, I use for my daily surfin' Firefox.

Do you use firefox on a Mac, Linux, Windows Desktop or Notebook. Or maybe tablet or smartphone?
I was using it before on my Linux notebook but it was slow, so switched to chrome. Maybe I will try the latest version and if its still slow try seamonkey.

At the very beginnings I used an Internet Explorer browser then later went on to Firefox and kept with that. I suppose it`s what we get used to and feel comfortable with using, but it doesn`t mean they are the best.

Tried all the search engines and none of them can compete with Google.

I like the Slimjet browser. An open source browser base on Chrome.

For a search engine I still prefer Google.

Have you used any other search engines?...or just used google all along.

Tried them but prefer Google.

You couldn't have tried and tested'em ALL on all platforms. There's just so many.

I use Firefox on Windows and Linux (both Desktop and Notebook).

On Tablets and Smartphone I use the built-in browser (Safari as I use Apple phone and ipad) and are not bothered to change as I do not browse that much on them.

If FF is slow running then first create a new (empty) profile and see if that is cause of your problems, or Start with Add-ons disabled to see if that cures the problem.

Yeah, but sometimes you make the change, and think, why on earth had I been using that rubbish browser all that time. So best to look for alternatives. It may work out best in the long run. Plus you are keeping the browser developers on their toes to develop browsers that users find quicker (slicker), less resources intensive, intuitive, and comfortable/confident using.
Search engine: I did some tests and startpage gives me more relevant results compared to google. I've made the switch to startpage (and DuckDuckGo).

True -------------Have you ?

I have better things to do with my time !

What I have works for me and meets my needs. That is all that I shared and I made no other claims.

Oh!, you mean you've tried SOME of them.
"better things to do with my time !" - It's the whole point of this post, so that we, I, you, don't have to test them all and we can get an idea what is available, and the reasons/emotions, notions for liking/disliking one browser from the other. Same goes for search engines.

Yes I have tried "some" of them !

Can I suggest you list all those you have tried together with your "expert" evaluation of each product.

I wait with no real expectation of a useful non vacuous reply.

I find the sync feature of Firefox very useful as are a number of plugins that I use.

Yahoo search is OK as is Bing, especially if Google is being Big Daddy and not allowing me to look at nudie pictures.

Thanks for clarifying.
I would send you such a list. But at no point have I said (or implied) that I've tried them all or claimed to be an expert. From the OP you will be able to work out that I've tried at least one.

With startpage you are using Google but as they are doing the searching for you nothing is noted search wise down to you which is important to some people

Here are some test results for browser speed:

According to this Midori is faster than Chrome. I installed Midori on my system and tried it. Seemed slower. I'll try and do a proper test when I get the chance.

Here are the memory usage results:

It's from the same test source: http://www.computerworld.com/article/2485269/web-apps/web-apps-5-lesser-known-browsers-free-lightweight-and-low-maintenance.html

Other sites may report different results. I've seen some sites report 3 test results per browser using 3 different benchmark tools. Check it out:

I use epic browser for private browsing... For normal browsing, I use chrome.

Epic is a secure type browser that uses free VPN placing you in either DC or New York City, is private and it blocks all trackers and cookies, pop-ups and the like. It uses the chrome engine, but it's even betterer!

You can read about Epic and download it here: https://www.epicbrowser.com/

There is no decent alternative for Google with the same search qualities, although Google search results are messed up with SEO superpowered websites at the top and outdated search results. Iquix, Duckgo, Startpage, Bing & Yahoo all suck and give lousy search results. Best alternative might be Disconnect that uses Google anonymously but Google is still better. https://search.disconnect.me/

I'm using an unbubbled version of Google with Track Me Not that produces fake search queries all day to hide my real seaches.
