Thai Premier receives Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas

Thailand has diplomatic relations with both the state of Israel and the non-existent state of Palestine. So a meeting like this is normal.

And yet 136 countries recognize the State of Palestine!

Gosh yes! They have all of Africa recognising them and the Arab world and the ex communist bloc but very few democratic countries because to support Palestine is to support corrupt to the hilt murders, conmen and terrorists. Such recognition by the UN is why it has become irrelevant and degraded.

What you re saying is basically 3/4 of the world opinion doesn't worth the "great Europe and USA"?

What a joke.

Now look carefully, I know it is hard but there are only two colors.

Look at the total coverage of the green area, and they grey area

See?

Now tell me all those people opinion worth less than the precious "western nations" which we know are a beacon of democracy and freedom in the world..

Do you really want to speak about the corruption in the grey countries? the freedom of speech, their "rightful and godly driven goals"...

The countries in grey are where people aspire to live and to emigrate to - the countries in green are the despotic countries that people are fleeing from. The same despotic governments who give their people no say and no choice. Oh wow! Eritrea supports the Pals.! Faint praise indeed. Africa and China have no moral authority to be passing judgments about other countries. The UN is a con trick of corrupt third world countries using block voting and extortion and indeed you are absolutely correct when you state their opinion is worth less. You like islamic society so much? Go and live in Pakistan.? There is not a queue to get in. It is however full of terrorist supporters which might suit you fine.

The main issue with nations recognizing Palestine as a state that actually exists is that it shows approval for the tactic of not involving Israel in the process. Rational people well understand the only real hope for a decent solution for both sides is if both sides come to an agreement between themselves.

But I don't see an issue with a country like Thailand having relations with the leader of the Palestinian Authority for the sake of national self interest as long as they also maintain good relations with Israel, which they do.

But be clear, neither side has the political will at this time to enter into any meaningful negotiations. Certainly not while the "Knife Intifada" is ongoing and Hamas continues to build invasion tunnels into Israel.

You forgot to mention the illegal settlements that Israel continues to build on Palestinian land.

The diehard Zionists don't want meaningful negotiations of any kind. They want to drive the Palestinians off their land.

As Noam Chomsky recently said "...Israel wants to rid itself of the Palestinian burden. The road ahead is not toward South Africa, as commonly alleged, but toward something much worse."

That something much worse is a one-state solution. It will mean the end of Israel as a Jewish state... when they could have chosen to continue to exist within their 1967 borders.

Casualbiker: You are quite right. Palestine was a British protectorate where they tried to maintain a balance between Palestinians and Jews until Manachem Begin and his Irgun terrorists blew up the King David Hotel and forced Zionism on the territory. Israel's forceable seizing and constant expansion of its territory is certainly fueling much of the hostility.

For the poster who sees no evidence that the surrounding countries have wanted to wipe Israel off the map, here is a link to the wars Israel has had to fight: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_Israel

Note that in pretty much ALL Israeli "wars" it was about land grabs or retrieval of grabbed land!

The Arab and muslim world declared war on israel the day it was born. It does what it does to protect its self in the face of Arab aggression. Nobody cares about the rag tag army of ex bedouins living in gaza least of all other arabs but the latter have one thing in common - jew hatred inspired by their religion. The movement to legitimise the gaza cause is part of Islamic imperialism. If they care so much for freedom they can give it their own people but they don't. Wretched murderous, terrorist pawns who enjoy and celebrate judaphobia.

So you believe that it has NOTHING to do with another country stealing their land or ensuring that this separate country controls it's borders!

Correct absolutely nothing. Palestinian babies are taught hatred before they are taught geography. Remember the the muslims want Kashmir, and spain, and portugal, and serbia etc. The land thieves are the muslims who did not even exist until their made up war ideology was fabricated as a religion nearly a thousand years years after the death of Christ. They invaded North Africa, mainland Arabia, Turkey and a whole host of other areas subject to invasion and subjugation. Look around the world and see every muslim country is an unlivable **** hole. This self destructive philosophy was dieing the death until oil wealth gave it a kick start. The gazans do not have, did not have and will never have any right to any land anywhere as they do not exist as a people except in the mind of islamic extremists and their liberal marxist dupes. Bas! Halas!

I've looked up the Transfer Agreement and the Soviet Oblasts. Neither of these offered the Jewish people a territory of refuge. The Transfer Agreement was engineered by the Nazis to combat boycotts against them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Transfer_Agreement It offered residence and a PARTIAL transfer of assetts for approximately 60,000 Jews ONLY. I couldn't find any Soviet Oblast that was a place of refuge for the Jews. Your denial of the wars of destruction waged against Israel and your characterization of Amedinejad as a Jew are very strange. You appear to have an anti-Semitic bias. Israel has not been kind to many Palestinians but it is a country under seige and must defend itself.
