Locals Pray for Second Miracle from Wrecked Plane

Featured Replies

When questions are asked about many rural Thais' competence in understanding the stakes in an election, accusations are often made that they are being portrayed as stupid, when they aren't. This kind of nonsense just serves to reinforce the perception that, if nothing else, they are too easily led.

I am just thinking of how Doc Martin (UK Actor Martin Clunes in character of course) would react to this and all the other BS that Thais believe in and worship.

Its actually beyond a joke how stupid some people are.

Phra Ajarn Boon-oom Apassaro, a monk at Wat Pa Non Pang, also arrived at the scene Thursday to survey the fuselage, as it was he who just two years ago anointed the plane with holy water.

This is a bigger joke than the locals coming to look for lottery numbers.

Apparently the monk's holy water had an "Expiration Date" of less than two years otherwise the plane shouldn't have crashed.

Nothing wrong with plane-it's the pilot that didn't make enough merit at the temple and thus had bad luck ;)
