george Posted April 16, 2004 Share Posted April 16, 2004 THAI moves into the top five Thai Airways International has moved into the top five for the first time in this year's Airline of the Year Award, the world's largest passenger survey. Last year THAI was ranked eighth. Cabin staff service, economy cabin legroom and onboard catering were high support factors for THAI, while poor in-flight entertainment and business-class seating were negative aspects. Singapore Airlines won the Best Airline Asia award and was among the top three performers as Best TransPacific, Best First Class and Best Economy Class airline. After 10 months of passenger voting, the Skytrax Airline of the Year survey logged a total of 10.8 million eligible entries, with more than 92 different nationalities participating. They wouldn't get a lot of votes for cabin staff service from Thai female passengers. And in-flight entertainment is really awful. It's a torture to fly a long flight with them.
