PHUKET: Police yesterday (March 5) apprehended a Chinese national at a villa in north Phuket on suspicions of having links with the Chinese gang behind a failed gun heist in Bangkok on Friday.

At 5.45pm yesterday (March 5) Pol Lt Gen Suchart Thirasawat, Assistant to the National Police Commander, along with Phuket immigration police, Phuket Tourist Police and Phuket Police led a raid of a luxury villa development in Phuket's Pa Khlok.

Police subsequently apprehended a Mr Soo Soo, 29, of China, whose passport indicated that he had last arrived in Thailand on February 12 via U-tapao airport in Chonburi. Mr Soo had a visa which was due to expire on April 14, and was reported to had previously checked into a Rasamee Apartment on Krungthep Krita Rd in Bangkok's Saphan Soong district.

Police have yet to charge Mr Soo Soo, who has allegedly admitted that he sold walkie talkies to various Chinese nationals, but claimed to have no knowledge or links with Friday's failed heist in Bangkok.

They should also arrest and jail the Airline pilots, and everyone else that brought

Even if innocent, did he file a TM28 Change of Address Form? If not, grounds for at least a fine. wai2.gif

I am having hard time understanding what exactly it is that he did wrong,

I am having difficulty understanding what exactly you thought the thread headline said, he sold radio transceivers, obviously without a licence to do so. He has also been implicated in an armed robbery.

In Thailand you are only aloud to have a red walkie-talkie. Think they can't use the same frequency as police and so on. Not the first time people been arrested for carrying/selling the wrong kind of walkie-talkie.
