10 Million bucks... where would you retire?

Recommended Posts

If I could afford it I would not retire in only one country . I would buy holiday homes all over the world and live 3 months or more in one place and then move on to my next home. Life would never get boring this way .

Sounds good on the surface, but I avoid long haul flights like the plaque. Took way too many when I had to, now its my choice not to.

Do you actually HAVE the $10 million? Coz if you do, you could afford Japan or any other country in the world, and you won't have any social problems anywhere.

However, if you don't have it, and you are getting near the age of retirement, what's the point of this tread?

I don't have anything close to that, but do have the ability to make a decent chunk of cash. I have a dream of a place on the Phuket Andaman side with an infinity pool and speed boat (don't have police issues when I have a naked (female) driver taking me home - joke), but that is my dream and I will achieve it too, I'm just taking care of health at the moment since without that, every other number is a zero without a "1" in front of it.

(Middle aged, and not qualified to retire yet, though debt free with a comfortable if not flashy income).

Lake Tahoe, Nevada Side, USA. Has boating, fishing, skiing, High Class Mountain Resorts for winter skiing, and excellent development. Nice weather and close to Reno for Night Life and Entertainment and a short hop to Los Vegas. Gambling also, but you can gamble at Lake Tahoe to on the Nevada Side as well as they to have casinos. Many Millionaire Homes there as well. Beautiful Estates you can pick up for a few Million Dollars.

Live there in the summer and travel in the winter. What could be better?
