1 year Visa from Laos

Recommended Posts

Hi Now I'm totally mixed up. I thought the max visa you could get by going to Laos on a visa run was 90 days? Now a friend of mine says he will go to Laos (guess Swedish consulate) and he will get a 1 year visa?

If possible why do I struggle every year collecting papers about my pension money, going to the embassy in BKK to get it verified .....and then go to Immigration to get the 1 year stamp???? and still have to go to Immigration every 90 days....................

Best to all you

Your friend will not get a Thai visa from a Swedish Consulate !

Also if he is seeking a non "O" visa based on being over 50 all he will get is a single entry (90 day) visa from a Thai Embassy/Consulate !

The only one year visa possible in Laos from the Thai embassy or consulate there is a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage to Thai that allows 90 day entries. Border runs are needed every 90 days.
