LONDON: -- Driverless cars are seemingly all the rage these days, with trials happening all over the world. Britain said it will begin trials of driverless cars on motorways in 2017, as it moves towards its goal of allowing self-driving vehicles to take to the roads by 2020.

The UK government said last year there were no legal barriers as far as testing the technology is concerned, and already gave the go ahead for trials on some local roads.

The country’s finance minister George Osborne is expected to announce plans on Wednesday to test vehicles on motorways, and says the government will bring forward proposals to remove red tape as far as adopting the technology is concerned.

Only if it was running on Gasohol.

You do realise that my brethren will be spending all their time trying to get the cars to crash? For fun you see......

Future UK headline.

A driverless taxi car appeared at Canning Town Assizes on Monday, for refusing to take a fair from a man wishing to go from the Caledonian Rd to Lewisham hospital at 2 am in the morning.
When the passenger was asked what the taxi replied after telling it his destination, the passenger replied "it took a sharp intake of breath and said,i aint goin across the river at this time of night guv"

The Taxi was found guilty of refusing to take a fair, and was given 140 hours community service to act as part of the refuse collection department for North London.

Sounds great, at least there won't be any more blow into this bag sir, or piss samples when your eyes look like saucers.

Driver less vehicles will cut down on the need for suicide bombers, that's for sure.
