Qatar Airways adds new Krabi and Chiang Mai flights

BANGKOK:-- Qatar Airways will launch two new flights to Krabi and Chiang Mai later this year.

Starting on December 6, the airline will offer four flights per week from Doha to Krabi, while 3 flights per week to Chiang Mai will also begin in December (date to be confirmed).

The new Krabi and Chiang Mai flights are part of the airline’s new global expansion, which sees it add 14 new destinations in four continents.

Making the announcement, Qatar CEO Akbar Al Baker said: "These new destinations are where our customers want to go, and where we see the most opportunity to provide a best-in-class experience at great value. We look forward to growing our network and welcoming new passengers to Qatar Airways.”

The full list of Qatar’s new flights, which are served from its hub in Doha are as follows:

Europe

Helsinki (launches Oct. 10 on Airbus A320-family aircraft)

Pisa, Italy (launches Aug. 2 on Airbus A320-family aircraft)

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina (launches Sept. 7 on A320-family aircraft)

Skopje, Macedonia (launches November TBD on A320-family aircraft)

Africa

Douala, Cameroon (launches January TBD, aircraft not specified)

Marrakesh, Morocco (launches July TBD on Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft)

Libreville, Gabon (launches January TBD, aircraft not specified)

Lusaka, Zambia (will begin “by summer 2017, aircraft not specified)

Seychelles (service resumes Dec. 12, aircraft not specified)

Windhoek, Namibia (launches Sept. 28, aircraft not specified)

Asia

Chiang Mai, Thailand (launches December TBD, aircraft not specified)

Krabi, Thailand (launches Dec. 6, aircraft not specified)

Qatar will not fly to Udon.

Used to love Krabi but the Muslim influence is just getting tooooo strong for me now.

Last visit (10 years of staying at same hotel) sorry no bacon for breakfast now

PS. I do not ask them to eat it. It is getting very stupid. I have breakfast with many Muslims in Bangkok as part of my job & they do not

care whats on my plate. It is time Thailand stopped bending over
