nicelee808 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Hi all, I have a Non O multi visa obtained in Savanakhet, it expires on the 7th April 2016. the stamp in my passport is until the 28th of March, I have just received my new passport, they told me at the passport office that I need to transfer my old visa into my new passport. I have heard on this forum that I don't need to do this and just to carry two passports, can someone confirm that this is ok, I'm looking to exit on the 28th of March and apply for a new visa in Savannakhet. Hope you can help. Lee
sunnyjim5 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Visa are never transferred. Just use the two passports. 1
ubonjoe Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Immigration does not transfer visas. They would only transfer your last entry stamp if you went to an office and you might be turned away and told to do it on departure from the country. You will show both passport for the first departure from the country and then for every entry until your visa expires. 1
nicelee808 Posted March 16, 2016 Author Posted March 16, 2016 Thank you, for confirming. Kind Regards
