June 16th could possibly be the expiry date for the current Pattaya City Hall independence from Bangkok central administration as regulated under Government decrees earlier.

Believe that a committee will choose a 12 man team to govern Pattaya and current Mayor and Deputy etc may be re-elected but that is to be seen.

Not sure whether July 1 is a date connected to this though.

This is the, slow, gradual change over period of the

New One Way System for Jomtien beach road with Jomtien second road.

This will be done over a slow period, for safety reasons.

The photo shoot will be held on the 15 June at the start of Jomtien beach Road next to the police box.

I heard something like this too. I heard that the Mayor and everyone else in City Hall are being removed for XXXX, and a new team is being appointed and will officially open city hall again July 1, with all new people. Anybody and everybody working in the new city hall will have to sign an oath, acknowledging severe penalties, if they engage in graft etc.

this year is the end of term for the current mayor and councilors? looking at records, it's a few months after the end of term where they elect and have new mayor sworn in, as the current political climate means elections is effectively outlawed... there might be a special appointment instead

Yes, I heard there is a special appointment for the top position - no election.

I've been told they will close all the go go bars and any beer bar that hire bar girls . From July 1 only "serious" staff will be allowed to work .
