The Immigration Department warned Interior Ministry officials on Wednesday not to issue Cambodian citizenship documents, such as birth certificates and ID cards, to foreigners living in the Kingdom. During the annual meeting of the National Police at the Ministry of Interior, Sok Phal, director of the Immigration Department, said he will take legal action against officials who issue any documents for foreigners who are not citizens.

“There are some officials who made birth certificates, identification cards, family books and other confirmation letters to foreigners. Please, stop issuing any confirmation letters to foreigners anymore and if they do, they will face an administrative penalty,” he said. Mr. Phal did not mention how many foreigners received family books or identification cards, but warned his officials to be careful with creating family books for immigrants because it will make it easier for them to “hide” in Cambodia illegally.

Immigration needs to wake up the west might reciprocate your laws to Thais abroad , 555

Looks like you just read the headline. First this is Cambodia not Thailand. Second the govt officials were issuing fraudulent documents (birth certificates, ID cards etc) so no laws are changing just trying to stop the corruption.
