- I recently posted a reply to a thread titled "Academic Calendar Dates" which is running about half a page below this one.

- Statutory Holidays for May 2016 are as follows:

May 2 National Labour Day (Substitution) - private schools only

5 Coronation Day

9 Royal Ploughing Ceremony - govt. schools only

20 Wisaka Bucha Day

This seems like a case of someone asking for general information, when what he really wants is information for a specific school. If so, ask the school directly.

School directors have discretion over starting and ending dates for the school year, and extra holidays for such matters as weather - related local emergency condions, and local celebrations.
