We bought a house that had a flea problem as the dirty-habit owner left filth everywhere and her dogs were infested. We got rid of all curtains and vacuumed the house out and sprayed where we could but clearly it wasn't enough and now they are back on our cocker spaniel, the bed, and us!

Reading up on it we need to treat dog and home and yard/garden on the same day, repeating maybe a week or so later, vacuuming around house, then spraying inside and out with an IGR (Insect Growth Regulator) and also treating the dog.

So - help please - where can I buy a suitable IGR enough to do an entire house and the garden. The plot is only 50 talang wah, the house has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a lounge and kitchen but don't get envious because the bedrooms are all under 3m square so it is a small house with lots of rooms.

I reckon on spraying with a pump-up garden sprayer using a diluted mix so I'll need a pint or more to dilute down.

Can anyone help with where to buy this stuff and if possible a brand-name they might use here? Preferably not something outrageously expensive, Amazon wanted $55 per pint!

Are you sure it is just fleas and not ticks?

You need to tell people where you are so they can suggest suitable merchants.

These are fleas, not ticks although she did once pick up a tick but we soon got rid of that.

Ok, found some Chaindrite in the workshop - you dilute it with water 60:1. I have a compressor and we used it to spray inside the room all over the ceilings as there was an insect problem chomping on the paper gypsum backing. According to my wife it deals with fleas too so I'm going to lock up the dog and vacuum the rooms and then spray everything with Chaindrite. I have a large bottle of the stuff so it will make enough to pressure spray the yard and garden too.
