  • Avoid Mondays and Thursdays as on those days the visa run companies are there.
  • It's a queue system so I guess the earlier the better. Or
  • There are agents working outside the Embassy that might be able to help expedite things.

You can pay to jump the queue but if someone grasses you up - you'll lose your money and be sent to the back of the line...

You now also need to provide a full address in Thailand. That was a requirement last time I went

I used a visa agent, had no problems and was in out both days within 15 mins

How much was the visa agent ?

Agent in Penang do everything so applicants don't need come to the consulate, (Fee is 40RM≒350THB)

Agent in Vientiane is a public letter-writer, just fill in the applications , so applicants must in line (fee is 50THB) They don't have a queue number to jump since summer of 2015

However, there is an illegal agent in Vientiane as a rumor.

you can jump the queue if you like which might result in a fight but whats the point you still have togo the next day and wait for your passport,,patience please
