Froggy
Hi! Is there some persons who already went to Penang by airplane from Bangkok? If Yes, how much can cost the tickets? If You have any travel agency to suggest in Bangkok, it will be appreciate! Thanks! Froggy

valentinoxxx
If on a tight budget, the journey can be accomplished via Air Asia A sample fare, in May, for the journey is 3600 baht(£50) for the return. Bkk - KL- Pen - KL - Bkk. Fairly long stopover in KL may allow for a quick trip into town.

Sorry, MH has no direct flight to PEN, you end up in code-sharing on TG 429 leave BKK 7:30 pm, return from PEN TG 430 9:20 am. Problem with this daily connection, you are in the PEN-hotel around 10:00 pm, and must leave around 7:00 am. In any case need one extra night in PEN. valentinoxxx
Malaysian Airlines BKK -> PEN 19:30 22:15 MH9089 PEN -> BKK 08:40 09:20 MH9090 Taking note of the four digit code, it does look like a codeshare flight.

If you are on a tight budget it would be cheaper and probably more time efficient if you get the 0720 Air Asia flight to Hat Yai Arrive Hat Yai 0845 return about BT3200 and then make your way to Penang from there takes about 4 hours I think. valentinoxxx
Hey! KLIA is a throughly modern airport. I met a Singaporean and a Korean girl there on my last stopover. I'd much rather mooch about at my leisure, than mess about for over eight hours on minibuses and border controls. Though, conceivably, you could save a day if you could manage to hand your application in on the same day. Bear in mind, if it is for a visa run, it's not necessary to go to Penang at all. You can apply in Kuala Lumpur Full list
