Changing baht to euros?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Anyone know if those foreign exchange booths in MBK will change baht to euros?

Cheers

I'm afraid I can't answer your question re MBK but I assume they can exchange Bath to Euros. However, if you go to Superrich Thailand (http://superrichthai.com/) they can def. exchange to Euros and probably give you a better rate. They're about a 5-6 minute walk from the BTS station Chid Lom.

Thanks for that info, I see they've also opened a National Stadium branch, perfect.

Are they open 7 days a week?

you got it wrong-or did not read enough.

Change FROM THB to whatever money is ONLY done at the MAIN offices of SR, in fact there are 3 SR-s-orange, blue and green, to the left of the BigC Rajprasong, of which the ORange has 3 offices. Thus not at the now many small kiosks they have at various touristy places and BTS-stops.

BUT close by MBK, behind the BACC snail-like centre is another private exch, named Siam or so, and they also do exc other way-their rates might possibly a tiny fraction worse as SR offers. Admisson only by pressing the bell and have to show passpt.

If it happens to be a really big amount-say over 1000 eur worth, better go straight to SR-orange and wait+wait-export of more as 10.000 EUR is prohibited, unless you declare it at customs-and in fact also prohibeted same way for enter Schengenzone/EU.

I read the info on the link and it stated buy and sell of foreign currencies at kiosks, inclusive of EUR (only 10 named)

this is a COPYCAT OPERATION best to be avoided !!! They even rented a space very near to the actual superrich HQ in order to confuse people.

the real genuine superrich company's website is www.superrich.co.th

Keep in mind that most of their smaller outlets do not change Thai Baht into foreign currency, and changing INTO Baht you get a poorer rate.

The only place where you can get an excellent rate both ways (spread in $ usually 0.3%!) is at their head office near Central world, a few meters from the Khlong Saensaeb canal boat. easy to find on googlemaps
